The riding crop. Most people are familiar with these in the horsey world. Kinky people look at these in a different light. You either hate them or like them. If you are partial to a bit of heavy spanking then there is a high chance you might like the idea of having your ass cropped with something such as this one. Riding crops are great, they are not high end priced toys to have in your toybox, they can last for years if they are good quality and you look after them well, and personally from my experience in the horse industry, riding crops last well and get better with a bit of use and age. You can use a crop to caress a body, even better when the submissive is blindfolded to add the extra heightened sensation of anticipation. Light taps to heavy slaps or a slow build up over various areas of the body not just the assumed bottom as most people associate cropping with. They are versatile toys.

I hummed and hahhed over what to write as there’s really not much one can write about a riding crop without it becoming rather boring so I decided instead photographs may well do it more justice than what I can verbally. If you like crops then this one is on my top list, Spartacus never fails to impress me with the quality of their kink toys and this sadistic little beauty is just one more.

This one I have is the Heart Bat and is manufactured by a favourite company of mine as mentioned, Spartacus. This crop is 25″ in length which is pretty standard as far as regular riding crops go so it’s a good length for playing, and this one also doesn’t have too much give in the handle which means the impacts from this wee beauty are nice and direct and they pull power. We did muck about with this one and found that actually holding the handle still and pulling back on the crop part and letting go delivered more powerful stingy slaps than using the whole arm, all the power transferred straight to my ass in this circumstance. It doesn’t really leave ‘heart shaped’ marks and after looking at it and having a wee giggle it was decided it’s not a heart shape but rather a ‘bottom bending over shape’

It’s not a heavy crop but not overly lightweight either and it gives good control when handling it. It’s not at all flimsy like some crops out there, it’s well made and a sturdy crop. The handle also has a leather casing to enable a better grip and is capped at both ends with chrome covers. The handle end is tipped with a chrome cap which has the little Spartacus guy on the end which is quite funkeh.

The stitching and workmanship is of excellent quality, the rod has a standard woven stem, the stem itself feels like some form of fibreglass rod but I can’t be 100% sure without pulling it apart, and the lower crop end is made up of two heart shaped (or bottom shaped) pieces of high quality leather which are stiched together around the base of the rod but not wholey glued or stitched together all around so in essence they are two flaps and with time will soften more and probably creating a slapping sound when used as most do.

The lower crop end is reinforced with thin wire … ths is the one thing that gives this crop evil tendencies. If you miss with the leather part you are likely to impact the skin with this harder wire woven area and could leave some interesting wlets so be careful and practice on a bloody pillow or something if you are not proficient at using a crop.
To look after the leather sections clean with a damp cloth and treat with your favourite leather conditioner when needed. You can get this in black or a red leatherheart to match your freshly cropped buttocks
Thanks to Carrie Ann and the team at Eden Fantasys for letting me share this with you guys. Next on the list … my ongoing sharp and pointy obsession … impy gets to play with the Wartenburg Wheel “beams’
