Tard mails

My feet hurt, 5 hours of walking around the zoo today with the little guy and some other special people was awesome fun. The best part, “This is the most awesomest day evaaah mummy!” … ‘beams’. That’s all I need to hear to make me forget about my tiredness, my sore feet and the shitty, cold weather. It’s the school holidays and we have a movie day to get through yet. I love being able to just hang out with the little one and forget about everything for a few hours and be completely in the moment watching his awe and wonder at the world.

I get home to a mass of emails and some work which I’ve done tonight and a stupid random email from some dude who felt the need to copy an email quote I posted on the blog, from that fantabulous collarme site, the dude put it through a spell check and ‘corrected’ it for me  …. wow.

WTF?

Lol.

My first reaction was why the hell would one even bother. Seriously. Silly shit.

It’s just reinforced the fact there are alot of fucking weirdos on the net with far too much fucking time on their hands. Then I figured that perhaps he wanted me to post what he’d sent me. Perhaps he decided that he’d like a special place on the blog all of his very own. And of course impy always likes to be helpful and shit I’m a giving sort yano….

So Mister Andrew Capra (I’m sure thats an alias too)

Recently, I remembered your May 12th post, where you posted an inept emotional bait message, and suggested that he use at least basic grammar and spelling, and about 10 minutes ago, decided that I was going to do it for him. After I finished, I compared it to the original, and I was shocked at how much it was improved (in my opinion,) by just a quick spell check and once over to fix most of the glaring problems with his message. Here is the result of what  a quick proof reading before hitting the send button could have done.

Hello,
My name is Phil McBrigde. I was brought up in Atlanta, Georgia in the U.S, and now work as a 38 year old Captain in the U.S army. I saw your profile here and I felt you could be the one I am looking for, so I want to tell you more about myself so we can get to know each other better. I like meeting new people and learning about new things. I am a guy who wants a serious relationship with a mature woman. I won’t play games with other people’s hearts, and I don’t want another woman to play with mine because I’ve been hurt so many times in the past. I am intelligent, well educated, full of passion, attractive, and I like to be honest in everything I do. I want to ask you one question- What if someone you’ve never met, someone you’ve never known, someone you’ve never even talked to, What if that person, was someone who you could trust to love you unconditionally? I want someone who’s willing to love me, who I will love even more in return…If you have IM, maybe we could talk to each other on it. If so, my Yahoo id is Cpt_PhilMcbrigde@yahoo.com. I am hoping to hear from you soon.
Kind Regards,
Cpt. Phil McBrigde

My reply was blunt and to the point …

If you were a regular reader of the messages my inbox receives from the likes of most dominants on collarme you would understand why myself and many other submissives & slaves get tired of being sent ridiculous messages on that site let alone others.  I’m not entirely sure why you felt the need to send this to me, actually I’m rather puzzled and amused but thanks. To be quite honest most of those profiles and messages are not the people portrayed in the images presented on the profiles and are nothing but general silly fodder from guys wanting cyber interaction or online domination of which I am quite clear on my profile (on that particular site) in regards to what I am looking for or in this case not looking for. I also don’t add people on IM after one message on collarme.

Thanks for the enlightening email Andrew. I am flattered but there’s still one glaringly obvious problem with the original email and even after a spellcheck.

The guy can’t even spell his last name … ahem.

Sorry if I don’t seem impressed but quite frankly I’m not.

I’ve had an awesome day. I’m just not in the mood for being sent grammar corrected and spellchecked bogus internet messages. It didn’t pass the first time and it sure as hell doesn’t impress me a second time around.

Signed W.T.F?

Sense of humor left the building ….

Taken By Storm

Storm Thorgenson (born 1944) is one of those people I am in awe of, an english graphic designer well known for his work over the past 35 years designing album covers for rock bands. And in my opinion, one of the best album designers in the world.

The amazing thing is that many of the album covers were designed before Photoshop and other advanced computer design software was created, so Storm often used just photography, paint and sculpture instead to create these masterpieces.

He is best known for creating the many album covers for Pink Floyd and various other album covers for The Mars Volta, Muse, Cranberries, Audioslave, Bruce Dickinson, The Offspring, Powderfinger, and many more.He also was part of a British art design group called Hipgnosis that specialized in creating album cover art and dealt with bands such as Led Zepplin, 10cc, Bad Company, AC/DC and Genesis to name a few.

So why am I w riting about Mista Storm? because I have worked my butt off for the last few days and managed to win a couple of design comps that have enabled me to attend a design event here that means I get to see Storm and hear him talk. Fucking fantastically excited :D He is fascinating to listen to ….

I bought my ticket today :D :D :D
