I quite often sit here and read through the toy reviews on Eden Fantasys that have five star ratings. Nine times out of ten the reviews are spot on, the toys are on the high end of awesome. So Impy got curious about one particular toy that’shad rave reviews and been on my wishlist for a while…

The Xtreme Bullet by Cal Exotics.

So I tried it out a few times. Yano just to be sure. What do you get with this little guy?

You get 5 speeds of vibrating intensity with 7 pulsating/vibrating settings which leaves you with 35 combinations of tantalizing pleasure. Now I decided to pull it out of it’s box the other morning while I was home alone and having my morning coffee. I happened to be chatting on twitter at the time and twitted a picture of the remote poking out of my pocket and what I was ‘up to’. It ended in me having to excuse myself to finish off what I had started. Some lovely cheeky twitter aquaintances had decided it would be fun to give me a number and let me scroll through the settings and find them. In all actuality it put a whole new spin on using the toy and was highly entertaining for myself and I’m guessing the willing participants. Daaayummmmm some of the pulsating vibrational patterns were wonderful and seem to be longer than most of vibrator patterns out there.

So what is it like? It’s bright! Lime green and a vibrant purple color. Kermit meets Barney. Heh.

It has a hand held power pack with two sets of buttons, the left side has the intensity level and the right hand side has the different pulsation settings. The center button is the on/off switch. Now this is a nice asset as most toys I’ve had to cycle through all of the settings to turn the damn things off.  The sides and the base of the power pack have raised areas (green sections) that are ribbed so make for easy holding especially if you have a little lube on your hands, it’s not likely to slip out of your hands with these little grippers.  The battery compartment is easy to open and inside it takes two AA batteries and even better it works fine with rechargable batteries. Yay! I hate buying batteries.

The bullet itself  is a beautiful purple color which consists of a soft rubber cote, so the outside of the bullet has a beautiful velvety smooth feel to it and the inside is hard so there’s no give or bend to it. It reminds me of the same type of feel the Bswish toys have, that texture that feels divine on the skin. One problem I found … there is an area where the cord attaches to the bullet, it’s a spot on the toy that collects residue, body fluids and general germies, etc and if you are a germ, hygiene freak like me then you’ll need a toothbrush to clean around this to keep it extra clean. The cord, which is lime green, unplugs from the base so it makes it easier to deal with the cleaning aspect and you won’t risk getting the power pack wet as the power box itself is NOT waterproof so be careful cleaning this part if you have the need to wipe it down. A simple clean with hot, soapy water on the actual bullet is fine or use a toy cleaner.

Apparently it’s a g-spot toy. For me … not quite. The end of the bullet has a curved tip which tapers off into a smaller end point and although it’s beautiful in design it didn’t do jackshit for my g-spot. Maybe I have a weird g-spot because there were a hell of a lot of reviewer’s that did get off with it. Even on the clit I found it just plain awkward to get it in any decent comfortable place to be effective unless I used the curved tip, this part of the bullet gives you less of a surface area to get a pinpointed deep vibration on the clit going which I found pretty damn cool. The vibrations are good but I wouldn’t call them out of this earth strong. It did get me highly aroused but it didn’t make me orgasm, not once. I had to resort to other toys to finish myself off. You could use it as an anal toy if you wanted to but if you do so keep it for just that only. Personally I wouldn’t try it myself I like toys to have a flared base.

The biggest turn off with this toy was the damn light show going on (see video). Really I do not understand why one would need a lightshow going on while using the bullet unless of course one liked having a light show going on beside them while they are trying to get off. It reminds me of those blinking lights going round the edge of a spaceship. Seriously it’s just not needed. They do show the different functions with different light patterns but it could have been done with a lot more simplicity and less of a distraction. Some people have said this toy is loud but it’s ahell of a lot more quieter than a few toys I own, it’s not that loud. Really.

The packaging is a simple hard plastic container and a little instruction sheet on battery information, nothing spectacular. It comes with no storage pouch, I wish toy companys would think of this aspect more often *sigh*.

So conclusion?

I had a wee simple, silver bullet a while back and it was one speed, fast. I loved it. The Xtreme Bullet is good, don’t get me wrong, for those who are sensitive or don’t go for the ‘powerhorses’ of sex toys then this will do you quite nicely, literally lol. It has an amazing array of vibrations which wll keep you amused for hours. It also has a possibility of some entertaining partner interaction. Like going out for dinner, sitting together in a nice secluded dinner booth and letting your partner play with the controls.

If however you want something to jump on your clit and jiggle the hell out of it and make you scream with joy then keep looking. It’s not really what I would call a g-spot toy either. The curve on it just isn’t really big or curved enough to do the job right.I have used bullets before and I kinda just don’t get why this toy has had so much hype. Mebe I am becoming a toy snob? …  >.>
