I’m still battling this head cold and I have uni first thing in the morning so as far as making my brain do ‘stuff’ it ain’t happening. I’ve watched movies, slept and basically rested trying to kick this damn thing. I also did some interwebz surfing hehe.

You know what it’s like when the sauce in the bottle is nearly on it’s last legs and you have to whack the bottom of the bottle to get the sauce to come out. Well lookie what I found … stickers for the bottom of the bottle hehe. I’m thinking it would be kinda fun to sneak these on the bottom of a few unsuspecting owners of sauce bottles … dontcha think? ‘beams’

For those of you who *know* the verdict was … not guilty.

So I did a wee poll the other week on what book is a good all round book to suggest as a good point to start reading about BDSM. The book that came out on top, and one I have to agree with as far as being a brilliant book for beginners and the experienced, was Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns by Philip Miller & Molly Devon. I’ve written a review here. If you are curious pop over and have a read.

The second book and it always seems to be one or the other that comes out on top as far as the best kink book is SM101: A Realistic Introduction by Jay Wiseman. Lots of people have enjoyed this book and it is indeed a thorough reference guide to many aspects of kink. It is a book much like Screw the Roses where it will be one that will be picked up many times and lent out to interested minds. However for me personally this book isn’t one I use often. I don’t know if it’s the writing style but I just found it boring. I need a book to engage me well and it just hasn’t. It is however a good research book if I am in need of information.

It comes down to personal choice at the end of the day and both books are excellent in delivering informative aspects of BDSM. But whatever books you read there is no comparison to experiencing real life. Use the information wisely and make you own decisions as to what you feel comfortable with.

Next week I am going to write up a review of a book (time permitting with starting uni full time) I’ve been chomping at the bit to get my hands on …

Erotic Slavehood: A Miss Abernathy Omnibus by Christina Abernathy. It’s actually two of her books that have been restructured into one book …” Miss Abernathy’s Concise Slave Training Manual” and “Training With Miss Abernathy: A Workbook for Erotic Slaves and Their Owners”.

It’s been recommended to me and so far I am enjoying it a lot!  I’ll let you know what I think when I’ve finished reading it.

I have been happily preoccupied with the outside world today.

Hopped on a bus and buggered off to sort after school care stuff first thing this morning and then caught a train into town and wandered around uni on my own getting my bearings and working out where I have to be on Monday morning. Sorted dot com ‘beam’. Then found the uni bookshop and proceeded to grab all the supplies I needed for my classes except couldn’t find half the shit I needed so had to wander into town and find a stationary shop. I now have about 2/3rd’s of what I need. I have noooo idea where I find the other shit so I shall annoy my tutor on Monday and badger him for secret shopping spots for fandangled art gears.

I did however find some rather cool shops that didn’t have art gear. A favie t-shirt shop, shoe shops, omg and a shop with these cool figurines I want oh and I happened to accidentally wander into a gaming shop. There was a cute gothy guy working in there so I might have to go back for a closer look. Yano … at the games and stuff   ‘grin’

My dentist rang this afternoon and reminded me I have an appointment first thing in the morning. Which is great because I’d completely forgotten. Absent minded me.My mind has been elsewhere today.

Apart from that I’ve been doing design work and fluffing about.

Oh yeahs and thanks to those lovely peeps on Twitter that decided to ‘help’ me play with my new bullet with it’s 35 different settings. I now have etched in my mind that number 27 and number 13 are quite fucking good. Literally.

I couldn’t even type properly by the end of it and had to excuse myself and attend to some urgent moaning. Thank god no one popped in for a random visit. Heh.

My sister rang yesterday and informed me of the date of her 30th and my attendance is compulsory. Shall be fun. She gets pissed and does crazy shit. Last time it was my brothers wedding and she went ass over tit on the dance floor, hurt her knee and was so drunk she kept hobbling around trying to dance. We all kept trying to get her to sit down but she insisted she was fine (even though it was clear she was hammered) … next morning her knee was a balloon and she couldn’t walk. Numpty. She wants to have a cocktail party. Gawd help me. I can see it now. I shall be the one holding her hair back as she kisses the concrete queen aka toilet.

I’m going comparison shopping on Friday when the rest of my loan money comes through and sorting a notebook, hopefully a camera and mebe an ipod. Immersing myself with music helps me concentrate better and zone out from all the shit around me and I am picking it’ll come in handy at uni. The notebook is so I can type my lecture notes because my brain works a fuckload faster than I can write.  And the camera because I desperately need a new one and I’ll need it for my course. From what I could see I am the ‘old person’ in my classes lol so I am sure that is going to be entertaining.  Who knows I might introduce a few kids to some decent music haha.

Anyways I have the sinus  ishoos from hell and have yellow snot pouring from my nose and a headache from hell so I’m going to curl up in my bed. Yes I know you prolly didn’t need to know about the nose thing but tough biscuits. You do now
